Day trip to Niagara Falls

Last Sunday we were very lucky to be invited to a free daytrip to Niagara Falls by a faculty member.

After a two-hour drive, our little group arrived at Niagara Falls and the first thing we did was a boat tour that took us very close to the falls – obviously we got completely wet but at least we had plastic rain coats to protect us a bit (it didn't prevent our shoes to be soaked though). We then climbed on the cliffs beside the falls and even with our plastic rain coats and special shoes on we got very wet again. But it was worth it, we were so close we could touch the falls (but of course we didn't or we would have been swept away because of the water's intensity...).
Unfortunately we were not able to cross the border to go on the Canadian side where the view is apparently more spectacular but we'll come back when our visa authorisation is signed...
If you ever go to the US or to Canada Niagara Falls definitely has to be on your bucket list!
